Learning takes courage. How to Be Brave is a newsletter about how to help our teens build that courage by Jenny Anderson.

It’s about helping parents be brave, and in turn, equipping their kids to be curious, creative, successful learners.

Jenny is an award-winning journalist, speaker, and author who studies how parents, and teachers can help kids connect with and thrive in learning. Against the backdrop of a youth mental health crisis and unprecedented rates of student disengagement, her work focuses on identifying the thoughts and feelings that underpin young people’s struggles with learning and offering parents and educators proven and practical interventions to build motivation, agency and resilience. She has spent the past two decades at major publications, including the New York Times and Quartz, reporting on education, the attention economy, learning science, technology, parenting, and innovation.
